Default 03 Neon SE cool air intake

I am inquiring about buying a cool air intake for my 03 neon SE. I was wondering if anyone else out there has done this, and has any suggestions for which one, what brand? I also am looking at some aftermarket tachometers. I am looking into purchasing one with some kind of LED. I havnt found a good place to buy any tachs yet. I am also in ALASKA so that affects local availability.

If anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated, thanks.

I have an 03 SE with a Cold Air Intake. I recommend getting AEM. But they all pretty much take care of the job the same.

As for the tach, what I did was just get a SXT guage cluster and put it in. It was really easy to put in. The only thing is it shows the milage from car the gauges are from. Luckily I found one that was only a 1000 miles off. Another option you have and is cool, would be to get an SRT-4 boost guage bezel and put in a Mopar Tach guage.

That's what I would have done If I wouldn't have gotten a SXT gauge cluster. But you shouldn't have any problems finding SXT gauges on ebay. That's where I got mine. Let me know if you have any other questions.

If you live in Alaska why would you think you needed a cool air intake? That's to make them run better in hot weather! Can I sell you a snowball?

How about a little hop-up that really works? Get a turbonator, they're $60 bucks, you can install it yourself in 10 minutes and your fuel will atomize better.

It makes a difference in the winter as well. Its not just for hot weather. What do you think happens when you car warms up? Yeah, thats right, it sucks up hot air from inside the engine if you have a stock air box. I stomped on it when it got down to 5 degrees here a week ago and damn....the pull was amazing.

Do NOT install one of those turbonators. A friend of mine actually LOST mileage by installing one of those. He left it installed to see if anything changed over time, of course it didn't. After a while he stopped checking and ended up forgetting about it. One day one of the blades snapped off and got sucked into his engine and had to pull his engine apart to get the metal bits out.

LOL, a cold air intake will help in any temperature area. Those turbonator things are a piece of ****. Why don't you buy one of those electric superchargers off of ebay? Those will give you a good 25-50HP decrease, lol
