hey i might possibly be needing a new transmission on my 04 sxt auto and i was wondering if a srt-4 transmission will be a direct fit

 

its definetly not a direct bolt up. I am not even sure if you can use it at all. The srt-4 is a 2.4L block

It'll bolt up to the block no problem. However, the crossmember sits just a little too far forward, you won't clear it. The SRT-4 uses equal length axles and a different hub, you'll need to work that out. Stock tranny would be better in your case...
