ok I've been thinking about upgrading my 04 sxt heres what I want to put in it soon: CAI, 60 mm throttle body, intake manifold, headers(borla), dual exhaust (either borla or flowmaster), ignition system and I've been reading these posts and some of you have been saying that the ECU chip is worthless, since it does nothing for me HP wise is this true, get back to me with what you guys think, with your ideas and what else to put in it. peace

 

That sounds excellent so far, and yes, the ECU chip does nothing except make you lose $250...you will also want to do upgrades to your suspension, like new sway bars, lowering springs, wider tires, new struts, etc...

 

so how do I take the governing chip off and the rev limiter?

Well since we're NGC there is no way to take it off at this time that I know of...you could try swapping in an R/T ecu which isnt governed, but every Neon is still governed at 6750 RPM even though the 2.0 HO makes power till 7100[sm=bomb.gif]...anyways, there is no way in hell. lol.

 

there has to be some way of doing I've talked to other people and they've done it to there cars. I'm just trying to figure out how they did it ( even though it would be illegal, but how are they gona know it)

 

i posted what the JET chips do in your other topic... which should be taken care of

essentially the jet chip is a piggy back system. Your computer wont override its fuel curves etc. You'll just still be stuck with the MPH and rev limiters.
