Hey all,


My car keeps coding p1390. I have hooked up my scan tool and is shows the cam sensor and crank sensor are fine and also showing them in syc.
The car runs great, getting 30+ mpg. This happened right after the water pump and timing belt were changed. Water pump was leaking so did them both. I can not see how it is at least one tooth off as the code suggests.
What else could be triggering this code? I am at a loss since the scanner is reading the cam and crank sensor and shows them in sync.It has56,000 miles on it.....Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

The same exact same problem is happening to my car. Does anyone know what could be the problem? My car will undergo a second check on the timing belt to see if it was placed wrong or the timing belt is chipped but I'm thinking the problem could be somewhere else.

Also, how do you get the cam and crack sensors in sync?
