Default Booger Bushings

Was wondering if anyone with a stick has not changed over to Boogers yet. Just installed mine and WOW they are great and my stock bushings were in great shape still. Get it done and be happy with a more positive shift and even an effectively shorter and tighter pattern due to the loss of bushing deflection.

2004 Neon Booger Bushing Install

PART I

1. Simply take out the battery. (2 10MM and 13MM hold down, Unhook thermal blanket)
2. Take out 13MM bolt to front of tray, and 2 10MM bolts in top-front of tray, and then 2 10MM nuts on top rear of tray.
3. Lift out tray.
4. Watch 2Meg video on boogerracing.com which show you what the included directions tell you. Just pry off the cable ends with a screwdriver or two. The wit smaller screwdriver or pick pull out the bushings from top.
5. Press in the bushings with fingers.
6. Apply a little grease to hole of bushing.
7. Presonto shift linkage where it came from.
8. Use pliers to press on till it clicks in place. With grease not audible but can be felt as long as you are not going HE-MAN!
9. Resinstall battery tray and battery.

PART II

1. Unscrew with #2 Philipps screwdriver the scews in the bottom of the forward cupholders. 1 each side.
2. Lift armrest and open fully.
3. Unscrew with same screw driver the 4 screws in the bottom of the compartment.
4. Pull up the parking brake cable fully and very firmly.
5. Put shifter in 3rd to start.
6. Lift rear of center console and remove center console. You may have some fun here getting it around the shifter and parking brake handle. Remember as far up on the Parking Brake Handle as possible.
7. Repeat bushing install from part 1.
8. Resinstall center console. (The hard pard, had to pull up on the parking brake handle while flexing the center console slightly to get it over the parking brake handle. Also watch the seat cushions and the bottom edge of the center console, easy to flex the center console between them hard to just push it down though besides you'd breake something)

Part III
Drive!!! Happy Like!!!

No STS at this time after the bushings do not really need it so much. Yeah, would not hurt and if I was drag racing I'd say mandatory but not bad without for daily driving. Should have been standard!
