headlights
Does anyone know if the headlights on neons are plastic or glass? The thing is that im trying to make my headlights look better. Right now they are all yellowish and i have seen headlight restoration kits on ebay but i found some that say for plastic so im guessing there are some for glass aswell. Im trying to find a cheaper way than buying a new set of headlights that come around for more than 80 bucks and higher. By the way, does anyone know of one or recommend one that is good or have seen around. I have one more question, do headlights get dirty from the inside, or is it just from the outside?? thanks.
k to answer this question
dont get a restoartion kit cause it dosent help very much on the outside... i mean you can get it but it wont make it crystal clear it will mostly clean up scratches. if there all hazey and yellow than most likely its on the inside. (mine was on the inside)
what i did was open up the headlights and used real fine sander paper and sanded down the inside while it was wet and it cleared up alot, im guessing you could use the restoration kit on the inside of the light but im just telling you what i did that worked for sure.
you just take the headlights and stick then in the oven for a short amount of time so the glue gets all drippy and you can peal off the cover then clean the inside and when you reseal them use some waterproof nail glue or some type of nailglue that wont drip when it gets wet. took me about like 20 or 30 mins to do. it might sound like a long time when i say it but its very easy. you dont have to glue it all the way around but i did so its prob best that you do but not 100% nesscary (like on the bottom side you probably dont have to but best to)
