Problem with my radio
Hi, I am wondering if any one could help me to solve the problem with my radio/cassette player in my Chrysler Neon 2.0i year 2000.
when I start up my car and I turn on the radio/cassette player, the radio/cassette player is working fine at the begining when car is cold until when I leave engine running to worm up the car my radio/cassette player for some reason stop working and what I see is the light blinking including the clock which is build in radio but everything else is working fine. Any one knows what is the problem and which part to check. I am not sure what is causing this
Any ideas please and Thank you.

My 01 neon did the same thing. Went to the chrysler dealer (car still under warranty at the time) they put a brand new 02 unit in. The machanic that worked on the car said they were having problems with the 01's and put a 02 unit in.
No problems, and thats been at least 4 years ago.
You might have to do the same, or go after market.
hope I helped?

Your better off replacing the factory stereo with a good aftermarket stereo, you can get a great Alpine for under $200 and it will completely change your music into what it really is and not the washed out sound the factory unit produces.
Hi Guys, thanks for responding.
Well it sounds it is the radio problem, I have measured power cables which goes to the radio so red/white cable gives 14Volt DC when you turn the key on and there is pink cable gives 12Volts DC all the time even when I don't use the key so the pink cable must be for the clock and to keep all channel stations programed so you can just click the button to switch to your favorites channel stations. I think I don't have power problem.
Thank you for letting me know it sound like it is the radio problem, maybe it has bad soldering or something???
I am thinking to buy a new radio to replace defective one but I wanna make sure it is the radio.

I just wanna let you know that I went to one of the Auto Recyclers in my town and I removed the radio/cassette player from Chrysler Interpid year 2000. The radio/cassette player is just a little minor different but has the same connectors in the back so I figured it can be installed in my Neon. I have installed yesterday and I have tested and it is working like a charm now, you were right my old radio/cassette player was defected some how.
