put your rpms up there a ways, put it in first and dump the clutch. hold up on the ebrake while burning out. just gotta be quick on the shift 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd. a little burn in 3rd is the most youll get though. you can always put yourself on an uphill grade and choose a 'smooth' surface. if you dont know how to burnout, first practice on wet cement roadway (empty road or preferably an empty parking lot). also, tire pressure can make a difference. I take it 9th grade + questions your asking you just started driving???
Only advice I can give is get everything down well in an empty lot before you try to impress your friends. and as well, if you just started out driving I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE that you try taking your car into the triple figures. Too many young lives have ended early because of stupidity. Plus burning out a lot puts at risk your transmission, not to mention the wear on your tires.

thanks, was askin cus i heard people had trouble with burnouts in neons, so really not much diff. than other vehicles, i understand what u said in this reply and ur reply to the other thread i started a couple hours ago. thanks for the advice though, and ya, i'll be keepin my trani for a while anyways. and i don't have the money to replace that or tires, so its not like im gonna peel out everytime i take off any ways, just fiqured i'd ask someone with a neon.

I don't even need to use my e brake. I can just rev up to about 3 grand and unleash the fury and it smokes them. And will sit there smoking them til I get out of it.

Best way = with a limited slip differential. I'll bet the NV T-350 has launched more diff pins than any other tranny out there. It doesn't take much...

+1
I have heard that it is fairly common doing burnouts. I very rarely do burnouts.
