Default aftermarket ignition coils?

I was wondering if after market iginition coils like this one( http://www.modernperformance.com/dcx/msd_coil.shtml ) really add something to performance? Are they worth getting?

Its not going to give you more HP or anything, but your engine will idle a lot smother with an aftermarket coil pack and plug wires.

Will changing my ignition coil and my spark plug wires and my spark plugs give me better acceleration. What are other ways i can increase my acceleration that costs under $150.00?

I doubt it would make you accelerate faster, but it would be a lot smoother...as for cheap mods, find a used 60mm TB.

You can find them new on ModernPerformance for $250, or just search the forums, or ebay, for a used one. Your stock throttle body is only 49mm, and with the 60mm throttle body you get more airflow to match with your CAI and the better flow of the magnum intake manifold...you should notice much better throttle response and quicker times in conjunction with the mods you've already done.

A new iginition coil will, and only will, make idle smoother and will make for smoother accelleration. You wont get your engine running at 500 RPMS after a half hour ride[:@]

if anyone is asking why i have an aftermarket ignition on an engine that still needs work... there is your answer.
