Okay probably a stupid question but in the 03 sxt does it matter if i buy mechanical or electronic gauges?

 

ok here is difference between electrical and mechanical
mechanical take the fluid/air too the gauge it self trow a little pipe the advantage too this is that the reading is more acurate the draw back is that youl will have hot oil in side your car and if the line where ever too brake it would be bad
electrical uses a sender which send the signal too the gauge trough a wire it wont be acurate but it is safer

so if it was me I would get electracal for every gauge that are fluids ie: oil pressure
any thing air like your boost gauge you can get mechanical
