I posted this on the wrong forum the first time so that's why I'm posting it again here. I have a 2004 Neon SXT that is completely stock right down to the P185/60R15 tires. Does anybody know if it is possible to put P205/60R15’s on the stock factory mags (6” width) on the back and have enough clearance with the bottom of the plate holding the spring on the struts. I have carefully measured this and it seems like they should fit with about 1/8” to spare. Anybody tried this before? The reason I ask this is because I want to get white lettered tires for it and the BF Goodrich T/A radials I'm interested in, for some odd reason, don't come in raised white letters in the 205/55R15 tire.
