Default ok is official!

I hate you all! lol just kidding
I just purchased an 03 neon sxt auto in Solar Yellow because I was spending $400 a month in gas in my 95 Ram Sport.
What was an innocent buy has become a full fledged toy after reading all of these posts in this forum. K&N filter was purchased day 2 Cat back exhaust goes on Wed. Next will be some suspension stuff lowerring springs struts ect. and audio work.eventually some 17" wheels so much for saving money driving an econmy car! lol my biggest suprise whenI purchased this car was the interior room as I am 6'5 280lbs and I fit!

Congrats on the buy man! I have an 03 auto as well...love the car to death. I've always thought the car was roomy too...but lately I've been feeling cramped up. I'm 6'1 170lbs. Have fun with the new parts and look forward to posting with you

Fun times ahead. Modding is fun and not that expensive depending on your demands. I love my Vogtland Lowering springs and did a write up on how to make it turn on a budget and is fun to drive. Did you just get a filter or are you going for CAI. My K&N Typhoon sounds great.

I just went with a filter and also Royal Purple Synthetic oil.. adding those 2 things to my 95 ram 2wd 360 magnum added over 3 mpg so its a nobrainer to add them to this

I found that most of it is reletively cheap to do... compared to my old eclipse anyway. Once you get into R/T heads and manifolds and SRT exhaust... you start to hit the wallet a little harder. Welcome to the fun, happy posting in the future!

Just got my car back with exhaust It sounds sweet!!! my buddy at a rod shop mandrel bent 2.5 inch pipe from the convertor back to a dynomax dual stainless tipped muffler for a 1st gen neon.... Dynomax doesnt make a muffler for a 2nd gen and I personally like the tight tucked in look compared to other duals. and since I work at a NAPA store and get HUGE discounts lol the dynomax fit the bill perfectly! performance seems to have taken a good jump too especially passing at 55mph
