Default attempted theft - cannot start engine

Someone attempted to steal my car. Broke the passenger window, and started to pry into ignition. Luckily, they werent able to finish the job before someone scared them away.

But ... now when I try to start car ... it runs for a second and then shuts off. I am pretty certain that this is because of some sort of anti-theft measure. Does anyone know how to reset it so it will work again????

Default RE: attempted theft - cannot start engine

sounds like a skim key problem. your key has a chip in it that sends a signal to the ignition switch, if the part in the column was damaged you will definatley need to take it in to have it repaired.
