Yes, a wideband is much better than a narrow band A/F gauge...it will give your exact A/F readings while a narroband simply says whether your at Rich or Lean...you wont need one unless you go turbo, and if you do narrowband there is no point in spending $100+ on a Mopar/Autometer gauge when you can find them cheaper. With that said, spend the $280 on the AEM auge and do it right the first time...it will cost more but save in the long run (on a F/I application)!
how does te sensor for it work. does it replace the upstream o2 sensor and then is spliced into it or does a new bung need to be drilled and welded in?
yea the wideband will give u an actuall number for ur afr's as opossed to a narrowband will just give u an idea of how rich/lean ur running. go with the wideband hands down, narrowbands are a waste of money
me and one of my friends hooked up one in his 94 vw golf and it was stupid on his car cause he had a 4" fart can on the back and it just bounced around the whole time it worked but it was weird inless you really need it i wouldn't even bother with it
