Default please help

2002 dodge neon with PO301 code cylinder 1 misfire. My buddy says to check connection between plugs and wires, then wires and coil. Did that. looks fine. He then says it's more than likey a bad ignition coil. Any advice?

Did you remove the plug to see if it was fouled? Any oil in the plug tube? If everything still looks good, it probably is a bad coil pack...but if you change the coil pack, you might as well repolace your wires as well...

swap the wire and plug from Cy1 to Cy3.
If the error moves to Cy3, then you found your problem.
If its still on Cy1, then replace the coilpack and wires.
(if it continues after you replace the coil pack, just take it back and get a refund! LOL)
