Ok, im in a bit of a tight spot here. I have been in the market for a new hood for a while now... and the problem is i have found a hood i like, but its in carbon fiber. Now my question to you is, how hard is it to paint carbon fiber.

I want to paint it becuase i dont like the look of carbon fiber on my car and I would like it to be a nice clean, smooth look. I also care about the dramatic weight reduction (but im not looking to loose every ounce i can. If you catch my drift.). So, i would just like to know if you guys have painted CF and what the process is. If its not too bad Ill purchase it within a decent time frame and have it shipped to my house for winter break. Anyways, theres that.

Oh, i will be posting pictures up sometime maybe within a couple weeks. Car is looking sick but i dont have an access to a camera. Just moved into my new college dorm. (sorry off topic)

RE: New Hood (Carbon Fiber Question)
it should come with clear coat on it so it would be just like painting over paint i been seein a lot lately of people who just paint the outer 6 or 8 inches of carbon hoods then leave the middle natural it looks tight
