First let me say that by searching this forum I was able to fix/replace my Camshaft Position Sensor. I learned how to get the code which was a major help. Thanks to everyone for supplying infomation.

That being said I have searched for anything about the door ajar light that keeps coming on and staying on. I believe that it is my driver side rear door. Where is the sensor? The dome light will not shut off and the little ding goes off every time I start because the computer reads that the door is still open. Right now I have taken the bulb out of the dome light to keep it from being always on. I have a 2001 SE. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Don't know if the '01 sensor is in the same place as the '00 but if it is it should be a black plastic plunger about 1/3 way up the door jamb. I have had the same issues with my daughter's 2000 Neon and can usually fix the problem by taking a small knife blade and using it to pull the the button out on the plunger.
