Default Noise on Start up

When I start the car, there is a ticking/whining kinda of a noise. it almost sounds like something needs oiling to stop it from making this whining noise. Its sounds like a wheel on a go cart that needs oiling!!!!!After a few miles of driving it is fine. Any ideas? Somedays it is quite loud. Other days it is fine. First thing in the morning is the worst time

I would say you have a bad belt tensioner...its not holding the belts tight so its making that periodic squeaking. No its not normal, and your belts shouldnt squeak.

Depends on which belt. One has a manual tensioner and one is automatic. Manual you could just tighten and automatic (Sprial wound tensionser) would just be replaced. Check with new belts first however. Worn belts can slip and make noise.

Thanks for this. Its kinda of a squeaky noise like a metal vibrating. Could it still be a belt issue. Its been like it for a while Any thoughts. Thanks

Without hearing it hard to tell, might be a bad starter bearing
