does anybody by any chance have this brands CAI in their car? its not made of metal but some polyethylene material. ( kinda like the iceman ones i guess). just wondering if i should get this over a k&n one or something.

volant is a sub-company of koenig.. i bought one once and thank god the place i ordered it from got it for the wrong gen neon.. it looked real ****ty...i went with an aem intake instead

I heard stay away from any intake tube that is non-metal...anything like a plastic and the engine compartment heat will make whatever coating is on it...like chrome...flake off and get all over the engine compartment...as well as leaving you with a bare plastic or what-ever material, intake tube...
