Default Info on CUSTOM interior

ok im goin to start on my interior, the theme its silver and black, now im not a bif fan of fiberglass, u need to know how to work it, takes time and those things i really dont have, so im thinkin of doin something else, but i still want the shiny smooth finish. I was told to prime the panels with a thick primer and drop 2 coats of paint then 2 coats of clear coat for protection and shininess, now my question is, wut type of primer do i need and wut paint? special primer for plastic? special paint or any type of spray paint? anyone with info let me know.

You will need a special primer for plastic, regular primers usually don't stick. I would lay a coat of primer for plastic, then a coat or two of high-build primer to get a smooth surface (high-build primer is sandable), and then regular paint and clearcoat will work just fine.

Well the paint for plastics should be flexible, because many plastics are. About the clearcoat, I'm not quite sure, but I know that automotive clearcoat is a little flexible, because if you get a minor dent in your door it won't chip off. I think the best thing would be to find a paint store near you, that sells paint and only paint, and the people working there should be able to point you in the right direction. Most likely that would be the best place to buy it too, seeing as that's what they specialize in.
