Default HELP ME!! w/ exhaust

so i just cleaned my self out on a Tusedo stainless header (not the best but stainless) for my 01' neon SE Now should i get a full on 2.5 in cat back or just use the stock piping thats in there and throw a silencer on it and eliminate that muffler set up? If i did do a cat back i was thinking thats probably one of those parts you dont wanna get used is it?
In finding a silencer they all seem to be 2.5 and the stock piping is 2.25 does anyone know were to find the "adapter" if there is such a thing for it or what should i make? or maybe i can find one with a 2.25 inlet somewere?
First timer so not trying to just blow through a bunch of money if i dont need to ...redoing the throttle body with a new plate with out the dovetail on it and already have a CAI on it and put on of those air temp chips in but recently pulled it out upon reading that they were crap. going to be doing a port and polish job on the head later after exhaust then possible some cam/crank work and pistons/rods but not sure if i am going to be going all the way with it getting a 1st gen in feb for my b-day to play with so might save it for that....but if anyone has any suggestions on upgrades that are not gonna cost us an arm and a leg or ones that i may need to do that will cost it ...let me know.
thanks
Derek
Ps feel free to find me on msn i am there all the time. I DO NOT WANT ANY jerry rigged or half...way done stuff. So far every thing is right and looks professional and i wanna keep it that way.[u]

here is a hot issue. Your stock tubing wont become a problem on a mainly stock neon. When you start getting out there with performance mods, you should really step up to a 2.25 inch tubing. 2.5 is too big for a N/A engine running even 200 horses. So, if you would like my source...
