shifter knob?

does anyone know how to take off the shifter **** so i can but on a new one?

Push down and turn clockwise. I believe it's clockwise. If not, try the other way. You may have to push fairly hard as it might be stuck a little, but that's how it works.

I haven't replaced mine, so I don't know, but do aftermarket ***** go back on the same way? I though most of them screwed on.

Aftermarket ones usually have three screws that will tighten against the rod so they are a "universal" application...rarely will you find threaded aftermarket shift ***** (unless its application specific).

There are screw holes there when you take it off... because my aftermarket **** screwed in...
