I have an 02 neon and the a/c smells funky lol, its not that odorless cold air anymore, it has a smell to it, my girl has also an 02 and her smells like the outside even though the option of outside/inside is set to inside, sometimes it smells like exhaust, any ideas please

 

if you get your A/C recharged, you can get a can of spary from autozone or checker it's for the a/c vents!!! another thing is that before you turn off your car put it on vent for about a minute or two!!! that should work!!!

 

Check your drain for blockage and your intake which is under the black cowel at the base of your windshield. Might have twigs leaves etc growing mold. Might also take out your fan and look for stuff.

The AC evaporator in your dash comes made with an anti-fungal coating but if it loses and mold is growing the only thing to really do is replace the evaporator and clean out the air box.
