hey everyone... i got a weird noise coming from underneath the hood. its not when i accelerate normally and its not when i floor it really hard, but its only if i floor it in between. and if i have the car in neutral, and accelerate different way it doesn't make the noise. so its only when im in drive, and floor it not too soft and not to hard. sounds like a grunting noise like as if the car doesn't want to accelerate at that certain spot.

 

on top of all this, i did notice that my air box is some what melting where the hose connects. is this the problem? should i change my air box to a cold air intake?

do you notice any physical problems? such as a lugging when you hear the noise? or some sort of jerk when you hear it, or is just the noise?

 

the car runs well just makes the noise. ever since i noticed the melting of the air box is when it started making the noise.
