Default Where did it go???

Ok, I just bought my daughter a 2005 Neon SE. I got an airbrushed tag for the front, but when I tried to put it on there was no tag bracket on the car. Knowing that some states require a tag on the front of the car. Where do they put it?

maybe they screwed it to the bumper like i had to do with mine since it was missing when i got the car...but i dont know why it would be gone unless the car came from a state that didnt need a front one so they tok it off.....alot of people just stick it up on the dash in the window....but i dont care for that...so its screwed on

I live in Michigan and we don't have front licence plates. One of the very few advantages to this state.
How many other states don't have fronts?

...I've seen it often too, a nice car that they may have put a kit or new front clip/bumper on..and then...wah,wah...there's that big old nasty square licence plate right square in the middle, killing airflow/aerodynamics/good looks that the replacement part was mean't to fix.

Well when I got mine straight from the dealer it was just screwed on.....When I took it off it left three dammed screw holes......but that, I think, is the only way they put 'em on.

In Ohio it's a law but it's not enforced. It's a nice reason for them to pull you over if they suspect that you are doing something else but they generally leave you alone. I've talked to quite a few cops that have said they don't have them on their personal vehicles (but then they would get out of it easily). I think they like it because it's a good laser target when they are speed checking but I don't know that for sure. Most body shops wont put them one unless you tell them to if a car is being repaired. I removed the one on my mustang and just put some nice stainless cap screws in the holes, still better than the bracket/plate.
