yea, same one I have... he (or yourself) might have been confused by the buttons labled "disc ^' and "disc V"...
this unit, for whatever reason, I guess, will also control the separate CD changer.... but u ain't got it.

even better idea ... take the car back and tell him the multi disc changer don't work, and see what he says!

 

Well, it was actually advertised as having a multi-cd changer. Not one of the reasons for me to buy the car, so I'm not too concerned. Thanks for your help.

 

While DCx did make an in-dash 6-disc changer, i am positive it was never factory equipment on a Neon. So I'm pretty sure you were lied to and only have the single disc changer. Because the Neon will either have the 4-disc or 6-disc depending on year and trim and thats the below the dash unit like the one i pictured. Those can be had for about $100 off of ebay and should hook up to your existing head unit if your interested in doing so.

maybe it does have a changer sumwhere else......i bought my 98 r/t and a few days later when i was putting sumthing in the trunk i noticed that there was an alpine 6-disc changer mounted under the rear speaker deck in the trunk....
