My motor mounts are broken. Have any of you driven long periods of time w/ the motor mount being broken. What's the longest time I can drive with my car in this condition. Can I get 1200 miles out of it before I get it fixed.

 

yea you prob can i don't see why not. just drive very lightly also how badly broken are they?

 

I don't know. I took my car to the dealer, and they told me they were broken, but they didn't say how much. How can you determine the degree of the damage.

 

If they are broken, i saw some motor mounts on ebay for $60.

 

the rubber might just be broken, or the actual mount itself. most likelt its the rubber and people drive around with that broken for a while, but it is bad for the engine and trans

 

i had a bud who drove on one engine mount for a year. It probably wasnt good...

 

That was actually me, lol. I didnt notice i was missing the bolt for the bottom motor mount until i had to go under to check something. Nothing bad happen, just that the engine seemed to vibrate a lot cause it was just on one motor mount.
