Default Dyno run

Pulled a dyno run on a superflow inertia dyno friday. I pulled a 2.0 sohc with a 40te transmission with a final drive ratio of 3.94. The pulls where from 35 mph to deceleration. The first pull was 79hp to the wheel and the second was 81hp to the wheel ( the car is stock except for the short ram intake, some plugs, and wires). I would like to know if you have done a dyno run with your car, your hp, and the final drive ratio because I think my ratio is wrong. Any information would help greatly!

I believe 3rd gear is 1.36 for all neon manual trannies.

Your thinking about the gear ratio and it 1:1 in 3rd gear. I'm looking for the final drive ratio and it a automatic any ways.

A base Neon should be pulling roughly 100-110 at the wheels...but many many things contribute to why a dyno reads how it does.

i would say it sounds a little low to normal. 2.0 neons have about 80-100 hp at the wheels

i use the theory that on a neon, you lose 13% on a mtx, and double that to 26% for atx . that is pretty much the norm for any vehicle, when dodge said the neon had 132hp, thats at the crank so just take off the applicible loss and you have a rough number for HP

the wheel horsepower is between 10-15% less than the crank on any car

or almost any

so yea 13 sounds right
