Default Cd changer

Wondering if anyone has had this problem. My cd changer all the lights just blink, and when you go to use the cd player it just say err on the screen. It is full (has 5 discs in it). Any ideas, kind of irritating because I just got my car back and there is something "new" wrong with it. Sigh..... So anyone had this problem?

I am having this same problem with a 2000 Neon w/ stock 4-disc changer. I can load and unload CDs, but when I try to play them, it seems to try, but fails and says "Err" on the head unit display. The funny thing is, it worked fine yesterday. Nothing changed that I know of between then and now.

Could mean that you just need to clean it, or something is wrong with it and you'll need to replace it. What CD changer do you have that only holds 5 discs anyways??

Something is wrong with it. It still doesn't work. I took it apart and couldn't make anything of it. And I have the one that came in my car stock......I just have decided rather then replace it I'm just going to get an ipod or something and use that. Edit...should have said 6 cd changer. I wonder if there is a reset button on the unit somewhere. Because it magically broke when I got my starter put in...don't know how that would have anything to do with it, but eh.
