Platinum Plugs BS?!?!
A couple of questions actually:
1. I have heard people say that platinum plugs are bad for Neons. I've also heard people say it makes no difference... Anybody have a serious response to this burning question?
2. Does anybody have some instructions on how to build your own CAI? I saw a few posts on here back in the day that had some info, but I can't find them now...
Peace

For the CAI, can't help ya there, I would do a search on it and see what comes up.

Seriously Bosch and Autolite to name a few admit they are not compatible with DIS ignition systems and thus do not recommend you put them in your NEON. Autolite makes a DIS compatible Double Platinum plug. Bosch as far I know still does not thus "admit". Something about the platinum eroding on the backwards firing plug. As every time your ignition fires it fires 2 plugs.
So everyone quit trying to use them.

ok get some pvc piping and then a 90 degree bend and a 45 degree bend. go from the throttle body to the hole by the fender where your stock intake system used to be and then have a 90 degree bend down and then some piping down for a desired length and then i udes a 45 degree bent facing forward but you don't have to. you can paint it to look pretty
I did just what mikey said^^^ and it worked great, mines a pretty shiny red!!! And i think it sounds better than a metal CAI, a little deeper sounds and it muffles the winy sound of our throttle bodies!!!
