No Compression
2001 Neon, 2.0K 16V SOHC, 130,000 miles.
Stuttered, stalled for a while, replaced plugs & wires & seemed OK. Daughter was driving and started running REALLY rough. Took it to local shop. 3 Cylinders OK, 1 cylinder has NO compression and compression check shows pressure going to crankcase. Questions:
1. What could have caused this ? 130,000 miles isn't a lot, and oil was changed per factory specs.
2. Is it worth fixing ?
3. Where can I get a used motor or a re-built motor?
4. If I don't fix it, what would it's value be ? I'm guessing maybe $500.00 ?

cant say why without ripping it apart as far as woth to fix it goes by wether you can swap it yourself wreck yards are a great place to check. if you do it yourself the deal should cost around $500 if you take it to a garage $3000. If you were closer Id buy it for $500.
