Default tinted tail lights

Ive decided that i want to go with a red and black color scheme for my car. Would tinted tail lights look good on a red neon? Also does anyone have any pics of this setup, and where to buy spray on tint

To each his own, personaly I dont think it would look bad, but I dont think it would look good enough to spend the time and money on. I would just go with some after market tail lights, I my self am actually getting a set of depo black leds, which i think would look killer on a red car, with a black scheme.

If you want an example of what this looks like this guy put actual window tint not spray on his black neon and it looks amazing. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/656989/7

If you wanna spray tint - sand your tailights with some 600 grit, get some clear add a few drop of gloss black tinter, and then spray light coats untill you achieve your desired tinit level........

Oh just as a note, but you probably already know this but the cops are definatly going to notice and the tickets are pretty hefty, like 150-200 dollar range.

I guess it depends where you are. Up here as long as you have some form of tailights even if they arnt reflective they wont bother. They dont care up here, we dont do emmissions, catalytic what now? dont need those. The only inspection they do up here is on 10 year or older vehicles that were previously insured out of province.

But check local laws, most places only state that the tailights shine red, and the reflective shine be visible at a certain distance.
