rice
For me personally rice is anything that dosn't make the car have a "clean" feel to it. In other words its like sticking random items on the car that don't go along it the overall theme. If say a civic has a body kit and the whole 9 yard but everything goes together than for me it isn't rice. It's hard to really make a judgement call but the obvious ones are easy.
Oh and my friend has a 95 civic coupe 1.6L vtec and what he's doing is any thing but rice, so just cause it's a honda dosn't mean anything.

ahh ricers...
Me and my friend were out driving his mom's car,
"06 Malibu...
Too bad we couldnt drive his dads '06 Impala police civilian car
But anyway we were out on the highway doing round 85 when this rice of a grocery getter
thats right GROCERY GETTER! pulls up and there sits 2 kids the same age as us pointing at us, and then they speed off.
Well we decided that wasnt gonna cut it for us, and we felt like having some fun too, so we kicked it up to 95 and caught them, and tailed them for a minute or two then got up next to them and flipped them off and laughed at their wheels with no caps and stickers galore, then took off at the next exit ( which just happened to be ours anyway)
Long story short
Ricers spend so much money on their POS cars to Make them look decent that they get so ignorant about their cars \.

the only prob with that is that noone will challenge you. you have to give some indication that your ready to go. would you step up next to a bone stock looking econamy car and try to challenge?

Rice is all attitude...
Big wings and decals are style. Although all may not agree on a particular style, but to each is own. If the owner is happy and loves what he/she has done then good for them.
Now if you think an APC wing and decals makes your car fast, then thats a different story. Thats where the attitude plays a part.
Thats my interpretation. "Rice" is a very vague term. To my grandfather, rice is anything that is imported from asia... no matter if its a car or a TV.

yeah i like the grocery getter look, but i have some 17s on my 02 and that gives it just enough attention, to the ricers that want to run and even some v8s, my hood also gives alittle atention, but one of a kind does that.... i think it really depends on the driver and the car to be a ricer, like fullbuilt, your car is fast, so the stickers are not ricey.....rice burners are stock cars that look like they are out of a cartoon, with a huge wing that you got a walmart for 99.99, and stickers all over from packages they got from a autoparts store with all the venders that they do not have on there car.....the cars that are slow and will always be slow because the people that drive them do not even know how to open the hood of there car........that is a ricer
