srt turbo ques....
so how could i get the boost down to 3psi, dosent positive pressure (boost) open the wastegate? the MBC just trick the wastegate actuator into seeing less pressure and therfore keeping the waste gate closed longer increasing boost but i want to lower it? this is a stock srt4 waste gate. also any recomondation for the fuel return line and also turbo lines oil/coolant. i had a idea on how to run coolant to the turbo, let me know what you think, i was goin to run the turbo in series with the heater core, so basicly through the heater core, out of it and then ilet to the turbo and then out of the turbo and back to where the dump side of the heater core used to go, will it flow enough. i figured i could tun on my heat during racing?to cool off the coolant before entering the turbo, just an idea let me know if you think it willl work. where did any one thats done this get the fottings that fit in the turbo fo r the oil.coolant lines?
honestly man i wouldn't put the turbo in until you have all the parts you need to safely run about 8 PSI max.... but thats just my take on it... you dont want to tinker around with the WG b/c that could throw the whole turbo out of wack and i bet you dont want to be buying another one i know i wouldnt.... but anyways save you $ i know its hard.... i have the same problem... and then when you have enough buy all the parts you need.....

so here is what you need to do....
in order to lower the boost you have to get an adjustable wastegate.....i got an AGP for mine and i run about 6psi of boost with no problems on 151,000 mile stock internals...
you dont need to use the coolant lines....i didnt, but i have to let the car idle for about 30-45seconds before i shut it off......
running the coolant line to the heater core will work fine
for the return line, just get about 20 feet of 1/4 inch steel brake line from any auto parts store and bend it yourself....i just zip tied mine to the stock fuel/brakelines that run back by the stock fuel pump
i went to the dealership and ordered the stock srt4 oil lines...though the turbo i got came with them all...read on and i will explain why....i cut mine all down and used rubber line and other misc. part of the other lines to make my oil feed and return lines.....the new lines will run you about 10.00-15.00 a piece.....but make sure that you order the complete oil feed line because there is a problem in the dealerships computer that they cant seem to figure out...it took me about a month to get the crush washers for the oil feed line...and they still sent me the wrong ones....so i ordered the whole line and it came with them....now i have the feed line and banjo bolt just sitting in the garage since i only needed the washers[&:]
there is alot of other crap that you will need to do, but you wont find them out until you start the install...and it is alot of work....so be prepared....if you need any help with it just let me know and i will do what i can....just pm me, or check out the top of the 1st gen section for the srt turbo checklist....i have alot of it listed there
