I have an 2004 noen and the person i bought the car from had the air vents in the dash painted the same colour of the car and now all the paint is bubbling up and peeling off. I never painted any thing like this before so i dont know for sure if it did it right or not. I first scrap off the paint off the was crack and falling off then i sanded off clean the dust off prime it let dry sand the prime clean then painted it the same colour that they had it painted but when the paint dried it looked like it was all caulky just the same as coloured it with a piece of caulk.

If any can tell me what i did wrong please or where i can buy some new ones.I looked on ebay and never found any. Do any one know if you can buy them from the dealership

 

I painted some of my interior parts here is what i did: i sanded the hell out of it, cleaned it and used a cleaner. Used a GOOD plastic primer, sanded, cleaned. (repeate twice for primer) Then a few coats of Good plastic paint. Wet sand, clean and clear coat. They have not faded cracked or gotten chalky yet and it has been 6-7 mths. Good luck!!

 

Prep is everthing like NHARINTON said. Just do alot of color coats and wet sand it, and a few clear coats should make it look really good. Hope everthing turns out good.
