...Simple thing is, that motor is not powerful enough to allow that van do make a good time. Might even be slower than some stock v8 vans today. So in my book it is a HUGE was of time and money, since he really accomplished nothing, just the fact that he swapped and srt motor in a minivan. That thing would need at least a 350cc engine or bigger to really have an effect.

Remember it's all about that hp/weight ratio thus why are cars are fast a he*l with only a 200-300 hp engine.
I'm not defending this guy at all, but it'd be faster than you think. The base engine for that van was a 100-hp 2.5-liter I4. The most powerful engine offered that year was a 140-hp V6. The length, wheelbase, and weight ratios for the '89 are very close to that of a Neon. The curb weight is 3250 lbs for the '89 Voyager LX... that's only a little bit more than a factory loaded SRT4... this guy could probably pull one of the bench seats out of the back and bust off a sub-14-second run on good fuel.

Besides, maybe this guy didn't have much to work with and needed a motor, and he could have paid a couple hundred bucks or less for a totalled SRT4... and for that small amount of money, he got a (newer) motor, trans and wheels. Good for him.

... if you can't get a normal-performing factorySRT-4 to run at least a 14.9 then you're a crap driver.

I think that's frickin' hilarious. I would love to cruise around town in that thing and look like the idiot who would put an SRT-4 motor in a minivan.

14.9 is not SUB 14 that would be in the 13sand you can do that with a factory srt4 in the right conditions
