EBC slotted and cross drilled
What does everyone think about slotted and cross drilled EBC rotors? I'm doing new brakes all the way around. I'm pretty sure I'm puttingEBC green stuff pads on the front with EBCrotors. Since the back is still factory drum I'm just doingoem replacement drums and shoes. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance
I have cross-drilled/slotted rotors with ceramic pads all around and I love them...so i would go for it. I dont know anything about the "EBC" brand but I got my rotors from Cquence Motorsports on Ebay and ceramic pads from Autozone...
I'm running slotted cross drilled rotors on mine. You problably don't need them unless you are doing hard driving all the time. But this is my opinion I autocross when ever I get the time, so I notice the differents in breaking.
I don't know this for a 100% but off of some tv car shows it's probabley a better idea to get just slotted b/c they are stronger, but this is for serious racing and unless you get some HIGH quality slotted and crossed drilled if you plan on some serious racing the slotted might be a better choice. But the slotted and crossdrilled deffinatley look better and since most of us arn't going to be putting them under extreme stress there probably a good bet.
I do a decent amount of hard driving. The majority of the time its just regular street driving. Ichose to do the EBC rotors and pads because that is what I have always had on my VWs. I think I will do the slotted and cross drilled for the look, I know they are overkill. I would rather have over kill when it comes to brakes then compared to under kill.
