Default tire pressure

just a stupid question but all four of my tires say that the max psi is 44. i know that once those tires get hot all that air is going to expand. i was just wondering how much tire pressure should be in it at all times

32 to be exact....when you open your drivers side door on the label it should have the tire pressure..

35 in the summer and 32 in the winter. if you have either at that time the expanding and contracting of air should take care of the rest you can keep it 32 all year round for comfort reasons

Yeah just remember if you go lower, like under 30 or especially down to 20 or under, your tire will handle worse, and get significantly hotter and run the risk of failure much much quicker than if it was inflated at 30-38 psi.

After springs and sway bars chalking my tires I got 36 F and 28 R. Little squirmy in back but better at 30.

Tires rated max and what your car needs to hold it up properly are 2 different things. From a stock size you need 32 to keep it wearing flat and even and have good ride. Now if you auto cross you will alter that for numerous reasons for the event but should return back to stock afterwards. Now once you alter you suspension and tires you have re-engineered the car and thus you should spend some time chalking the tires to find your ideal tire pressure. Lower profiles need more pressure and the faster you go the more you need too.
