Default DC 7 Year/70,000 Mile Warranty??

As you all know I want to upgrade my exhaust and get a CAI.....but, a thought just occurred to me....if I install these parts will it void my warranty?? or will it only be on the parts that are OEM?

they started that thing in like 05 i thought. our 06 Sebring has the 8/80,000 mile warrenty and our 05 Stratus only has the 3/36,000 mile warranty.

When I bought my '04 they offered it to me...but, unlike the 36,000 mile warranty it is only on the engine and tranny......

oooo you got that extended warranty thing. i would ask the dealer about it. i believe if its not directly on the engine its ok like a catback would be ok and you can always just take the cai off but just walk in and ask whats the worst that can happen

my theory is that if the warranty covers all OEM Mopar part then....if you buy an "aftermarket" cai then that one part would not be covered under warranty.....So, the exhaust and the cai would be the two parts not covered....i dont know it would suck to loose the warranty[:@]

What are you concerned about them not covering under warranty? They would pretty much have to prove what you did caused the damage. For example, lets say you drive through a road covered in a few feet of water and drive through it, suck up water and hydrolock your engine they would obviously not cover you under warranty.

the repositioning of the air intake will void the warrenty however just keep the origanal and replace it when you go the the dealer a ten minute job will save you 7 years. and by the way dodge has run the 7 70 since 2000 as a add quest to the hundai but thats drive train and you all have it but the rest is only 3 30. however both are unneded becouse you will find all factory mistakes in the first year and thats all it realy covers

7-70 Powertrain on my 04 was factory standard.

We have extended powertrain warranties at the dealership I work at that gets used once in a while. Crack a head, drop a valve whatever. It happens, not often, but it does. Might be nice down the road for a failed sensor but their is a $100 deductible that the customer has to pay after 3-36.

They can void certain stuff with a good argument but what is an exhaust gonna break? CAI (no MAF sensor) so not a big deal for us.
