I have a 2000 Neon and this past weekend the left rear suspension started creking everytime I went over a bump or turned to the right. Not sure what could have caused this. Could it be a broken bolt or lose sway bar?? Anyone had this happen to them?
I have bounced it up and down by hand and the noise does not occur. It just happens when driving over 10 mph - rolling over bumps. The struts are good and the car doesn't bounce excessivley. The sound is a bit like a clunking creak.
Took it to the shop this morning and the rear sway bar is broken! The mechanic said he had never seen one broken like this before. Must be a bad part from the factory or a design flaw
