I bought a 2005 Neon SXT for my girlfriend last week after her old van took a dump. We bought the car used with 20k miles on it. (Still under basic warranty)

The gf has noticed that the clutch grabs way on the top of the pedal and has no play.

I'm wondering if the clutch can be adjusted or if its a sign of something else going wrong. Also, once in awhile the car wants to stall out between shifts from 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th. Not sure if that issue is related though.

Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated.
