Default Magnum Head and Cam

- 03NeonRT - you said a magnum cylinder head port and polished would be the best way to go with a comp 400 cam..

I looked for some magnum cylinder heads on ebay but they only had the v-8 heads. I'm pretty sure I cant use a v-8 cylinder head on my 4 cylinder lol. Where or how can i get the head port and polished???? Ive seen do it yourself kits before??? How would you do it and how much would it cost??? any suggestions appreciated.

The "Magnum" cylinder heads are pretty hard to come by, especially on Ebay. Your search criteries should be something like "Dodge Neon R/T Cylinder Head"...when you typ ein "Magnum Cylinder Head" it thinks your talking about the old Dodge Magnums or the new ones...

The best place to look would be on other forums like neons. org or other Dodge Neon forums...I've probably seen two or three mag heads float around the various forums over the past few weeks, so you just have to be diligent and keep an eye out!

As for actually getting the head P&P'd...you could do it yourself, its really not that hard, but if you've nevr done anything like it before I would not suggest doing it yourself. Most machining shops will port and polish just about anything, or you can take it to specialty automotive shops or some regular local shops perobably do it as well. I know just in my area there are about a dozen places to get it done, with prices varying from $200-$600 depending on what kind of service you eant done to the head.

Yeah; I wouldn't buy a valve cover from anyone else. They have great prices on them.
You'll end up paying 99 at Howell. LOL
