Default Heres one for you experts!

So I'm taking my 2003 neon sxt to the dealership tomorrow. I'm hoping its covered under the powertrain warranty. But I need some unbiased advice. Here is my problem:

When the car is running it "studders" sometimes and seems like it wants to stall. RPMs aren't dropping though.. However, if the air is turned on, the car won't stall but it will studder left and right. Also all the lights in the car and outside the car dim. When I popped the hood and had the air on and it was studdering the entire engine would shake really bad. When I accelerate it has trouble going at first (like catching the "gear") and sometimes at 40-45mph. But once I hit 50 the car works fine. There is no check engine light/error code.

The guy at autozone told me it might be a clogged carburetor, but thats obviously not it. I figured maybe a tune up would help, but its not looking like it could be solved that way.

If itsan electrical issue is that covered under the powertrain warranty? my car has 50k miles on it. I can't imagine this being "normal wear and tear". Regardless, do any of you guys have an idea of what it might be?

I'm hoping if I have to pay for it, I can at least bitch at them. Since I brought the car in, in jan with the same problem. However it wasn't bad at all then. They replaced the battery and a power steering pressure censor.

Thanks,
Todd

BWAHAHAHA, its a fuel injected car... LOL

it could be as simple as plugs and wires, its also possible your injectors are clogged. nothing to sweat over too much. if you wanted you could try to change out the plugs and wires and running some injector cleaner through before taking it in. but if it would be covered under warranty then i would let them fix it.

yeah.. actually I ment clogged injector.. I have no idea where I pulled carburetor out off? lol.. anyways. I did run some good injector cleaner through the car, and it did seem to run better for the "week" the cleaner was in there, but now its worse then it was before.
