window tint
does anyone with 35% tint on the front windows post a pic of how their car looks? i was talking to my brother and he told me that with 35 you can barely tell it's even tinted...i didn't know it was that light. so some pics would be appreciated so i can decide if i want to break any laws :-p
#1--DO NOT go with the faded color to black, it's asking to get a ticket. And most places don't warranty that job.
I got 20% all the way around and it was $245 cash (no tax). Make sure they do not cut the back window in half they can do it in one piece. I also have a lifetime warranty and didn't pay any extra for it.
Here in NY it's illegal to have the driver's and passenger's window tinted but if it matches or most people do 20 in the back and 35 in the front and you can't really tell. But personally I'd rather have it match, I've had it for almost a year and no tickets thus far. *knocks on wood*
On a white car it looks mint just to have black tint. I saw a lexus the other day, white and black tint it looked hot. I wouldn't recommend any other color, you'll regret it. The only other thing I've seen that looks okay is a tint, it's not quite chrome mirrored, it's just a reflective tint and on a white car it doesn't look too bad, if I can snap a picture soon of the car I'll post it. I haven't seen it in a while. But I would just go black, you can't go wrong. It looks nicer. And just do 20% all the way around, it's not too hard to see out during the night and it matches and most cops won't really care it's not completely dark but it gives you some privacy and protection from the sun.

Yeah if they are a good tinter then they should be able to do it in one piece. The other alternative is where the lines are at the top, stop there and put a black sticker/decal.
You cant put the chrome fade to black on the back window because, you cant heat it up to form it to the window. It will just crinkle. As long as you tint the back window and you have 35 all the way around it is pretty dark. If it is leagal where your from i would go 20... Looks a lot nicer!!!! Make sure whoever does it, that they do the back in one piece.
well since the fader tint doesn't seem to have a warranty, i guess i'll just go with the standard black tint. but i just bought a new stereo tonight so the tint is no longer in my March budget :-p
I had mine done in 04 the 1st thing I did to my sxt when I got her brand new its 5%blackall 3 rear windows and debating to do my front soon 35% light enough the police wont bug me . Mine cost like 100 bucks for the three windows and like 40 bucks for the front . I also did my 1st gen neon 3 rear windows in green casue shes a custom green for 100 bucks also.
