1st would be is there something I can do to see the codes on a 2003 Neon? I got my son one and now he is in Juneau Alaska and I am in Anchorage and it will not turn over.
2nd will the new computers in cars keep a car from starting up if it senses a problem. We found out his fiance hit a pot hole yesterday and now all the oil is drained from his pan. It ran all the way home but would not turn over this morning.

You dont need a scanner to check the codes, just follow this link and it will give you instructions on how to check if any trouble codes are stored, theres also an entire list of the possible codes if any come up...
