quick question. i have a walbro 255 in my car and i hear it running when the car is at idle. my exhaust drowns it out at all other times, but is it normal for them to be so loud?

 

not unless they are working harder than they need.... which may be your problem since you dont have a return line w/ FPR. b/c it is probably trying to put too much fuel through the lines than is needed..... so if i were you i'd consider doing the return w/ FPR it should fix that noise problem and it should ensure that you wont damage your nice new exspensive Walbro...

 

I could always here mine when the car was at idle too never had problem with it

I have one in my camaro and my buddy has one in his eclipse and they do make a whinning sound. Its not to loud but if you turn off the stereo you will hear it.

 

im thinking that i am gonna need to get that fuel return kit....theres one from AGP turbochargers..
