Default turbo on an ATX

Hey All,

This might have been posted already so I'll just keep it short.......I understand that the 2nd gen 2.0 SOHC is good for around 12psi (~250whp) before some building is necessary. I have heard that an ATX is toast either at or before that, but I have also heard that the ATX can stand up to more than the MTX. Has anyone had any experience with this? My 03 SE is an ATX and I am going to boost it so I really need to find out which camp has the right answer.

I have looked at the hahn kits for my ATX 2004 SXT, as you may know lol, but all I can find now is the Stage 2 kit from modernperformance.com and it costs $4500. Do you have any links with it cheaper or maybe a stage 1 kit AirWolf?

an auto wil wor but you will not get as much power to the wheels as a 5 speed would. also if you have 12 kbs of boost you WILL blow up. stick to 8 to be safe, and 10 maybe if your feeling daring

thats right. If you want to keep your engine then please run at 8psi because 12 is def too much for now

I get power to my 1st gen wheels and Im running 16s on there same suspension as the acrs and lowered on some nice coilovers . The hahn turbo th best auto turbo setup you can run other than chill factory but they are rare to find out of business. You can find some hahn setups on here or on ebay thats where I found mine brand new for 2500 grand everything I needed for my 1st gen , Still lookin for one for my 2nd gen also . the hahn turbos are brand new and any srt4 turbo swap isnt and there alot of beaten to death engines out there so buyer beware of srt4 engines and trannys .
