Default Which header should I get & Car update.

Which header do you guys think I should get?
With the MPX long tube header, I'll have to do some modifying to make it work. They really aren't supposed to be used with a cat but I could if I wanted. I would just get a hi flow cat. I could also leave the cat off but that will probably be too loud for me. I'm probably going to get a resonator if I get the MPX LTH without a cat. The MPX LTH has great quality.

I'm also debating on the OBX header. I called Modern performance and the guy said it's not much better than the Pacesetter.
I don't want to buy junk b/c u get what u pay for. That's why I'm switching from Pacesetter.
I know people have experience with the OBX more so than the MPX. If I get the OBX I will replace the cat-back later on.
Please give input on the OBX header. What do u guys think of the quality and how they are holding up?

I'll most likely get a cat-back exhaust for my car soon too. I want a 2.5 inch exhaust. I was thinking of using the Dynomax or another 2.5 inch exhaust that's custom. The thing I don't like about the Dynomax is it's not stainelss steel. Just the tips are stainless steel. The dynomax has the quality of a stock 1st gen Neon RT.

UPDATE:
After about 11 months of my car getting worked on, I'm finally driving it again. Everything is basically new but the bottom end. I have a few more things to straighten out though. My car was getting hot when I was driving it so I'm probably going to get another thermostat. I've already had that replaced but if that's the problem I'll probably replace it again. I think it's the thermostat b/c I added coolant and topped it off and it's still getting hot. After adding coolant I turned the heater on and the car cooled off. I also have to replace my power steering pump for about the fourth time since it's leaking. I've been getting faulty pumps for some reason.

I'll nevere buy a Pacesetter product again. I'm kinda pissed on how short the Pacesetter header and cat-back have lasted. My Pacesetter header has an exhaust leak so it's clicking. It seems as if it's a faulty product b/c of where it's leaking from. It's just a low quality product like the cat-back. My pacesetter cat-back is rusting out in the tips. There's a possibility that I can't weld it b/c it's aluminized steel not stainless steel. U can't put that much heat on it.

Sorry for how long the post is.[X(]
Thanks for the input. I'll be taking pictures of the car soon.

Wow! I just looked at my header. There is a nice size hole in it. It just rusted out. Stupid Pacesetter.[:@]
Opinions please...

wel i would say obx just because its a direct and easy fit and you will not lose as much on the low end as you would on the long tube. you will see overall better gains with the lond tube though

not sure.... i never really like my OBX and wish i just waited for the long tube. If you do get the OBX i would have it coated...... One it helps with heat and it should help with sound. At idle and up to about 3000-4000 rpms i love the sound diffrence but at high rpms i hate the sound!!!

thats just my 2cents!!! And btw why was your car out of commesion for so long?

When I started, I took the car to mechanic #1 to get my power steering fixed and add a few performance parts. The performance parts I started off with was the cam, valve springs, cam gear and Indy Intake manifold. After i took the car to him, then we decided to get titanium retainers, then we decided to redo the head, then we decided to get another clutch, etc. Time passed and since the car was broken down, we kept adding a lot of things to the list for preventative maintanance.
He also painted my bumpers twice b/c they got messed up the first time.

I went to pick my car up a few times and there was always another problem to add to the list. In one case I had a bad alternator so I took the car back and got a new alternator. The other time, my transmission was slipping. After the trans was slipping we decided to buy a used trans; then the used trans that I paid 500 for was slipping too. The mechanic that did all that work owns a shop. He owes my dad so he worked on the car when he could. Since he was taking too long, I drove the car to another mechanic who has worked on my car before. He's been taking care of it for 2 weeks plus. When the car was with him, we decided to rebuild the used trans. I didn't get my old trans rebuilt b/c it would have been too time consuming.

With the first mechanic, we went through about 3 faulty brand new power steering pumps trying to stop a leak. I still have a leak so I'm going to get another pump installed Monday.

It's been crazy and a lot of work has been done. I can't remember everything that has been replaced.

The thing that caught my eye on the OBX was the stainless steel part. So u just don't like the obx b/c of the sound around a certain rpm?

I've considered what the few people have said and thanks for the input. Thanks for the few votes I got too.

I've decided to get the MPX long tube Stainless steel header with the Vibrant Ultra Hi-flow cat. I believe I will keep my cat-back for a bit longer.
