i got the bilstain 5175 offroad racing series shcosk for 8+ inchs of lift... an i do agree with ram sport here. i siwtched to these from my old worn out ones... these thigns ride smooth as a babies back side down the road... and going down the trail but somehow they know when i slam the brakes they stiffent right up and stop the nose dive...

oh this os with custom front shock mounts.. i dont have the little cristmas tree anymore...

I prefer King above all, however FOA's are pretty nice as well. Doetsch is also entering the market place with some good products.

Just recieved a new set of Bilstiens and they will be going on as soon as the weather breaks,(read-since we got another 24" of snow yesterday I can see all my driveway right now). I have used Bilsteins for years with the race cars with always good results, and the same with my two previous 2nd Gens.

The 5100's are valved for off roading I believe. They also have a silver/chrome finish I believe. And you can get them in different lengths depending on your lift.

The HD's are just premium all purpose shocks.

I wish they sold the Orange Sport Valved Bilsteins for the 2nd gen ram, thats what comes from the factory on the lightning, best road driving suspension I have ever felt on a pickup.
