I used to run pacesetter shorties which rusted and cracked... Now I have switched to the stainless clones sold by eworldsales on ebay... they are better in every way to the pacesetters and have the same size flange as the pacesetters so they fit perfect with no need to grind clearance for spark plugs and such like some of the other no name header sold on ebay the gaskets are good too but the bolts are wrong for our trucks.. did post a side by side comparison (and posted pics in a thread about them) of these against pacesetters and these ave slightly bigger passages..
I'm very pleased with them .. I used Eastwood internal header coating spay to help keep the temps down and discoloring to a minimum...

Has anyone had problems with bolts breaking off changing from manifolds to headers?

I have the summit/pacesetter shorties. Noticeable power gains in the low to mid range Range and adds a nice little rumble to my already rumblin truck lol

Have a set of used Pacesetter shorties on now that I found on craigslist. They fit OK, however, I had to take a hydraulic spreader on one side to get my stock Y-pipe to align properly. Recently found a used set of coated JBA shorties on craigslist and plan to install those on the truck. Will use copper header gaskets along with copper RTV to seal them up.

I just had my entire exhaust system replaced. I've only had the truck a few months, and it had cracked down tubes, a ruined cat, and the muffler had rusted cracks on either side. I did the plenum fix before the exhaust, and just got the exhaust done this week.
I now have Gibson GP301 headers, a custom Y pipe that transitions from 2-1/4" at the collector to 2-1/2" into the Y, then 3" from the Y back.
I put on a SISO high-flow cat and a magnaflow 12259 muffler.
I haven't run a full tank through it yet to see if it helped my mileage at all, but it sounds incredible and seems to have helped with the power, especially at freeway speeds, so I'm pretty sure my mileage will go down significantly for a couple tanks.

I got pacesetter shorties, and stock y pipe. Header on pass side fits, but the driver side is way off. I can get the bolts on but it wont tighten all the way and close the gap at all.
What can i do!
